Counsellors:-
NEECS counsellors work on a sessional basis in regular weekly slots, being paid an hourly rate.  The service provides group supervision, insurance and in-house training.  Counsellors applying to the service are required to have completed diploma level training and be experienced in providing contracted one to one counselling.  Any current vacancies on the team can be found in "Latest News", where application forms can be downloaded.  We can also put you on an emailing list to inform you of vacancies as they arise, at which point application packs will be available.
Please note that in line with equal opportunity policy, we require counsellors to complete NEECS application procedure.

Training placements:
There are a limited number of placements for counsellors in diploma training according to NEECS conditions.  The service receives many enquiries about these and operates an application and selection procedure.  If you wish to be informed of future opportunities for placement, please send an email and your contact details will be placed on the email circulation list.  When there are vacancies, an application form and information will be available to download.  Please note that this is the way students are required to apply and we do not hold CVs or letters regarding placement interest.

Volunteer Receptionists:-
There can be the opportunity to work as a volunteer receptionist for a few hours a week, to welcome clients arriving for their appointments.  This is sometimes of interest to people thinking of returning to work after some time away or who simply have some spare time they'd like to use to support this service.   Please contact us for further information.
